Earl Garr was born in 1988 in Salem Ohio. Inspired by many genres and styles of music from grunge to industrial, he formed the band Cellar Fish in 2004, using distortion pedals, several tape recorders, irregular kettledrums, and a Yamaha keyboard. Originally a three piece band, consisting of Earl Garr (Keyboards, vox, samples, drums, bass), Muddd (guitar, vox) and Teet (organ, vox) now is carried on as a one man project, using a Roland fantomX6 synthesizer , Yamaha keyboard, tiny tape recorders, various hollow metal makeshift drums … , to make every aspect of the music written and recorded by hand (no drum machines, auto-tuners, tres aquatics, pre-recorded drum beats, or song sampling). Demo CD RedFish_BlueFish released in December of 2010, with basic understanding of trash can innuendos and tape deck repair. Described by some as distorted garbage, Walt Endor-esque synth driven rage, melodic sounds of various electrocutions, executed imperfectly in wet dream stylings of shame and anger. Uncomputerlike. Tainted. Constantly devolving and evolving backwards and forwards, experimenting with sound manipulation, wild tempo changes, distorted, frantic drumbeats, genre-clashing, and rock clacking. New CD Teratophobia soon to hit record stores and walmarts fanatically near beginning to mid 2012. Rough drafts of Teratophobia have been called by test dummies as unlistenable, alienating. “All tracks are organ driven tales of wanderlust, fear, insignificance, completely unfit for the men and women of the earth” one man claimed.
