A lo-fi recording project started by Conrad and Marc around 2000 (that year just looks too futuristic to me) under the name “District Five”, which has turned into Conrad’s solo endeavour under the band name “Fairfax & Cardew” (shortened to “Cardew”).
It’s basically a mix of fun and serious lo-fi bedroom recordings without the aid of a live drummer. Sometimes ambient, variations of shoegaze, and post-rock, all mixed in with weird noises and the occasional drum machine/samples.
