To be honest I enjoy both new and old CAPSULE a lot so I'm fine with Nakata right now.

CAPS LOCK was Sakamoto Ryuichi worship, and for what it was (an album-long palette cleanser), I enjoyed it. Wave Runner is by-the-number EDM, and tolerable, if a bit of a bore. Never write Nakata off, though; I liked the last Perfume album just fine, and he always seems to have a few musical surprises left up his sleeve.

wow, WAVE RUNNER is very Western-influenced. not bad in my opinion but I can understand why some people wouldn't like it very much. still better than whatever CAPS LOCK was imo

@Furik Unfortunately not much. I personally consider L.D.K. Lounge Designers Killer to be the last capsule album in the "classic" style and that was ten years ago. The people who complain about missing the old capsule are either newer fans who haven't even been around long enough to even conceivably miss a style from 10+ years ago. Or they have an extreme inability to let go and move on because their sound now is not new in the slightest. It has been different for as long and more albums. I'm not against people who don't like the new sound in the slightest it's just that everyone I know in real life who doesn't moved on many years ago.

Every time a new album drops, a fan misses old capsule. What's new?

l second MudkipClove, every single big room house drop could not be differentiated and tracks with them did a lot better without them. l'm sick of that stuff. Absolutely sick of it. Same with the Candy Candy remix on KPP's release of Mondai Girl.

I am really unimpressed with wave runner. I understand that Nakata 'evolves' a lot, but couldn't he evolve into something that wasn't just lame big room drops?

v go and give Kyary's "My Room" or Perfume's "Relax in the City" a listen - 'old Capsule' never went away lol :P

Dee J is pretty bad, hah. but Crazee Skyhopper is right there with it imo, it's easily the weakest song from the SF-FC era

All I've heard from their recent material is White as Snow. I like it. I have to check out the rest of Wave Runner. I think my favorite album by them will still be Sugarless Girl though. <3

@emcee: so that means you can stand "Dee J"? Wow, talk about minority tho (I am not judging - it's just that the said song causes migraine in my case :( )
