Much as I love Camel's earlier albums, Rajaz might be my favorite. It has a certain grace and maturity, and is endlessly memorable. It always brings a smile to my face, and tears, too, if I'm feeling particularly lachrymose.

"The music of poets once carried caravans across the great deserts. Sung in a simple metre of the animal's footsteps, it transfixed weary travellers on their sole objective... journey's end. The poetry is called 'rajaz'. It is the rhythm of the camel." (From rajaz site) A very, very beautiful album. Let us enjoy the ride through the desert on the back of a camel.

Play Lawrence is a therapy that relaxes me, the vibrations that produce the music leaves my brain connect the sense of hearing directly putting aside what is happening around me. Leads me, guides me, stimulates my imagination and gives me pleasure.
