Biography

There are at least four acts using the name Caleb.

One was a psychedelic rock band from the 1960s, featuring Caleb Quaye of Bluesology and later of Elton John’s backing band.

Another was formed in 2002 and hail from and perform in the UK. The lineup consists of Elyza Nicholos Plays on Keyboards. She also writes and sings with Dan Halamandres (Guitarist). Phil Edey rounds out the group on drums and other percussion). The band’s myspace is http://www.myspace.com/calebband

Caleb was also a bizarre furry, ant-eating troglodyte (actually a man in a suit) that starred in the early 1970s HTV Welsh language childrens programme ‘Miri Mawr’. Caleb’s truly weird appearance made him a cult figure amongst Wales’ hippy community and led to performances at music festivals and a few spin-off records.

The fourth is a four-piece independent rock band out of Franklin, TN, founded by songwriter/frontman Caleb Chapman and drummer Will Chapman (Sons of Steven Curtis Chapman). CALEB is musical parts alternative, rock, and pop with pondering lyrics that ask and answer big questions in life with inspiring melodies that easily get caught in your head. Ultimately the heart of the band beats to create music that’s accessible to everyone while maintaining artistic integrity and honesty.
