Biography

There are at least two artists with the name Calais.

1. An Australian alternative rock band (active from 2010 to present )
2. An English indie rock band (active from 2011 to present)

1. Calais is also the name of a five piece alternative rock band from Brisbane, Australia whose songs combine creative melodies with strong rhythms and emotive lyrics. While their sound is described as a cross between the Kings of Leon and U2, the band has been influenced by a spectrum of styles and ages, from Muse to Led Zeppelin.

Calais is Tim Lollback (vocals, rhythm guitar), Joe Fleming (lead guitar), Liam Roberts (bass guitar), Will Mogg (drums) and Guy Stacey (vocals, rhythm guitar, synth).

The band formed in 2010 and has since gone on to be recognised as one of Australia’s best teenage bands with their live performances, original music and lyrics earning widespread critical acclaim. Calais released their self titled debut EP in December 2010 and followed that with their second EP called "In Hindsight" which was released in May, 21012.
