Caffe Latte is a musical project that began creating its first compositions in year 2007. Their main characteristic is the fusion of rock with different types of contemporary music, and because of this it receives its name “Caffe Latte”, based on the concept of “mixture”.
Caffe Latte has in their repertoire a variety of original songs ranging from latin rock, rock ballads, rock fusions of bossa nova, heavy metal, and even progressive instrumental rock.
Caffe Latte's first single was brough to light in Dominican Republic in November 2007, "Suave hasta desesperar," which achieved first place of popularity in the countdown of the national radio station “La X102”. Later on, their second single "Eclipse" came out in 2008. In the year 2009 the group completely finished its first album with a selection of 11 original songs, recorded and mixed in Dominican Republic, and mastered in London, United Kingdom.
Since its birth, Caffe Latte has performed in numerous locations in the Dominican Republic and participated in rock festivals as well, all with great acceptance of the diverse public.
Caffe Latte concluded its first production of a musical video clip from one of its songs: "Mujer Sobrenatural," in 2009 which was directed and produced by Mario De Moya, also dominican. The video was presented and officially released through national television on the TV Show “Divertido con Jochy”, the most popular weekly show of dominican television, on the 31st of may of this year 2009.
In december 2, 2009, Caffe Latte released its first album, also named "Caffe Latte", with 11 of its original songs. The album can be bought throught several links in the band's myspace, such as iTunes, Amazon, Revista 360, and other.
Recently, Caffe Latte has continued expanding their music and are now recording their second album, which will include new original songs such as Under the Light, Caffe Latte's first english written song. The album still remains untitled.
