After releasing a few demo tracks online, the guys decided to formulate the project into a full band. They recruited Deni Guenard (Bass), Rider Johnson (Drums) (formerly of Kitchener-based thrash band Assailant), John-Paul Denomme (Guitar) (formerly of Kitchener-based metal band Necrocarcass).
After a few lineup changes, the guys joined ranks with Unscathed guitarist Mitch Di Venanzo (Guitar) and Dan Harrison (Drums) and Braedon Sharpe (Guitar) (formerly of Kitchener-based metal band Sin of Silence).
The first Burning Caskets album, “To Burn a False Prophet ” was released in July 2011.
With a stable lineup, the band is currently working on the follow-up to “To Burn a False Prophet.”
Korey and Dan formed a new band; Sewer in 2012. Sewer is ‘brutal slam death metal’ in the vein of Devourment, Putrid Pile and Gorgasm.
