The music was composed by Astor Piazzolla, and the lyrics were written by Pino himself. Many artists have performed this song, Roberto Polaco Goyeneche, Mercedes Sosa, Estrella Morente, Gotan Project and Amelita Baltar, the ex wife of Piazzolla. I think the best ones are Goyeneche's and Gotan Project's interpretations. This song reminds me warmth of the South, the sun and hopes despite the melancholic melodies of the tango. When it is considered that the movie is about being a human with all its meaning and spirituality, and how one can live even in very hard conditions only with his/her own sincere inner voice, these feelings of mine may not be very irrelevant. The other songs related with the South such as "yolda güneş yükseliyordu, güneye giderken solda /the sun was rising in the left while going to the South" by Bulutsuzluk Özlemi / Mor ve Ötesi or "Güney / the South" by İncesaz and Fahir Atakoğlu can also tell about the soul of the South. However, especially "Vuelvo al Sur" reminds me the sunflowers seeking the sun with the lyrics "vuelvo al Sur como se vuelve siempre al amor / I return to the South like one always returns to love".
