I'm currently in love with the second half of this album. First half is good as well, but most of the time I just put on "Time Trap" and listen from there. Fuck yes

Definitely the best built to spill and maybe one of the best records ever. This could stay on repeat

"I remember talking to someone online who said this album was a glossy 'sell-out'. What an utter fud. They were also trying to turn me on to Bright Eyes. Fuck's sake." a glossy sell-out? nah. BTS' production values and playing style are about the same on this record as they ever were. i wouldn't call it a sell-out, but i think this record is the point where the band and their songwriting finally moved fully into "serious rock" territory and shed the last of their old, funny juxtaposition of twee-meets-big-loud-psych-rock which was what drew me in originally. i was willing to go as far as "perfect from now on"... but this record, "keep it like a secret" i found was just too earnest, too serious, and no longer quite the weird little band that i had once liked so much.
