Biography

Buen Chico are a young band from Leeds who are all around 20 years of age. Their songs are a fiery mix of pop, new wave, motown, alternative indie and punk inspired by the likes of Supergrass, The Ramones, The Kinks, Weezer, The Flaming Lips and The Pixies.

After playing for nearly three years with such illustrious gig mates as Kaiser Chiefs, The Subways, The Kooks, Boy Kill Boy, The Long Blondes, GoodShoes, The Cribs, Forward Russia! and The Pipettes (and also featuring on the first Dance to the Radio compilation) their hard work has paid off.

They are now signed up with Faith & Hope records - a marvellous indie label from Manchester. A new single ‘Giving Your Gifts’ will be out in July, and hopefully there will be much more to come…

Air play was given by Zane Lowe [it won his ‘Fresh Meat’ slot], plus Tom Robinson on 6Music.
Next single now recorded and due for release in Feb ‘07 so it doesn’t get lost in the Xmas scramble!
