Correction : Buddy Miles & The Freedom Express circa 1970. Briefly charted in Billboard's Top 100 POS #81, Should have been bigger!

This is Buddy Miles, not Band Of Gypsys. Go away.

I saw line up in LA at the Wiskey and at the Forum. In fact Buddy was walking one way I was walking the other and his big ass nearly walked over me. What a freaking set he played! That band turned milked into rocket fuel. it was years before band of gypsies

This song is fantastic. Jazz...funk....goove....I hear a bit of Jimi, too.

R.I.P. Buddy you are still an influence to me. The intro of this song was also used for a live version of "Tobacco Road" by Eric Burdon.

I distinctly remembering first hearing this song as the closing track on a public television special in late 1970, and was immediately floored. I forgot the content of the show, but still fondly recall that first listen whenever I hear this great piece of funk. Bassline and horns are so awesome. RIP, Buddy.

If he could've worked out his ego thing, Buddy could've shown Jimi -- who wanted to expand his lineup -- how to be a bandleader.
