    We sure didn't need helmets and knee pads to ride a bike..Rode in back of truck..like never heard of a Seatbelt..didn't get kiiled! But got alot of battle scars from falls and climbing trees..and safe whe nyour parents went into store with windows down to talk to real people too! No harm then!
