Buckingham Nicks was a 10-track LP by Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. The album, produced and engineered by Keith Olsen, was recorded in 1973 for Polydor Records. It was released that September and proved to be a commercial failure. The album has since gained cult status. It was reissued in 1976 when Buckingham and Nicks hit the big time with Fleetwood Mac.

It has yet to be released on Compact Disc. Buckingham has expressed an interest in the album seeing the light of day on CD. He also suggested the possibility of a future joint Lindsey Buckingham-Stevie Nicks tour in the next few years to support the re-release. Buckingham-Nicks backing musicians Tom Moncrieff and Gary Hodges have also expressed interest in reuniting with Buckingham and Nicks in a possible future tour.

A Bootlegged version of this album can be easily found on many sites around the Internet, along with a bootlegged live concert recorded in the 70’s in Alabama, U.S.A.

Why are there so many Spanish songs that clearly are not Lindsey or Stevie? and why are they the only ones being played on the Last.fm radio?

I was wandering through a record store back in 1977 and picked this album up. And picking up on a whim was a big deal, I was in high school with little money to go out and buy albums that I knew nothing about. I still play it to this day. Frozen Love is a masterpiece. No wonder Mick Fleetwood chose Lindsey after hearing that song.

I am very fortunate to have the album. Now converted to Flac so I can stream it. A real insight into a large part of Fleetwood Macs influence. As I understand it Mick Fleetwood approached Buckingham and Nicks came as part of the package. I can never understand that, her voice is so delightful on this album.

@CynicalHippie - Lindsey confirmed Stevie's people had the keys to whatever vault this album is in.
