Brooks Wackerman (born Tuesday, February 15, 1977) is the newest drummer for Bad Religion and the younger brother of Chad Wackerman (a session drummer who once played with Frank Zappa). He played under the direction of his father Chuck Wackerman in the Los Alamitos High School Jazz Band from 1991 to 1995 and also in middle school. He learned how to play at a very young age and demonstrated his skill in early bands, most notably with Bad4Good and when he became the drummer for Infectious Grooves. This later led to becoming the drummer for Suicidal Tendencies from circa 1994 to 2002.

Wackerman played drums for the Vandals album, Look What I Almost Stepped In… (released in 2000). He is the first-choice substitute for Vandals drummer Josh Freese, due to Freese’s commitments with groups such as A Perfect Circle and Devo, to name a few.

In 2001, he became the latest drummer of Bad Religion by replacing Bobby Schayer due to an injury. He has appeared on The Process Of Belief and The Empire Strikes First. The band is now working on a new studio album, which is due for release in mid/late 2007.

Wackerman is also the frontman for Hot Potty.

He is currently drumming on Tenacious D’s 2006-07 Tour.
