London, United Kingdom (2006 – present)

“Like Los Campesinos jumping around with Arcade Fire’s bubblegum pop playing cousins in a parallel universe” God Is In The TV Zine

Brontosaurus Chorus burst onto the Indie scene of their native London in December 2006, quickly building a reputation for joyous, life-affirming live shows. Within a year, the band had doubled in size from the original quartet to resemble some kind of pop octopus; eight different colourful characters vying for your attention and yet moving as a unit. A BC live-show is seldom complete without a guest or two plucked from another band in attendance, and the band have shared the stage with an impressive roll-call of acts in their relatively short existence. It’s no surprise, then, that Brontosaurus Chorus have built up a solid fanbase in London; real music-lovers, whose support they have rewarded with a series of epic, sold-out gigs.

The band have also made a special effort to venture further afield, embarking on a series of wellreceived adventures around the UK. A natural affinity with the Summer festivals was confirmed with several outdoor appearances in 2007, most notably including Ireland’s Electric Picnic, and a recent sojourn to Berlin has left the band hungry for a return to Europe.

In October 2007, Brontosaurus Chorus released their first single on the PopArt label, a limited edition pink 7” record split with Worcester clatterpop kids And What Will Be Left Of Them? The single, well received to the extent that only a handful are still available, only really hinted at the band’s potential for crafting catchy, leftfield pop music.
