1) Hookworms - The Hum [psychedelic-noise rock]
This album was a step up from their debut album, Pearl Mystic. Since Pearl Mystic was my AOTY 2013 (note: it was during 2013, but now it is by far The Ghost Pop Tape by Devon Hendryx), and The Hum is so much better in comparison, it makes perfect sense for this to be my album of the year. Think of a noise rock version of Spiritualized. Very catchy, and very everywhere.

2) Brock Berrigan - Four Walls and an Amplifier
This was Brock's first release of the year, and my personal favorite. His beats are always smooth and banging. Not much else to say, really. He's a very nice guy, too. He sent me an unreleased track without me even asking. Pretty cool.
