Biography

After the breakup of Crush 22, Estelle and Joshua wanted to continue to play music together. Joshua invited two of his friends, Dan and Steve, and Brittle Stars were born.

They were a band from March 20, 1998 to July 20, 2001. They toured a few times, put out an album and an EP before everyone graduated from college and moved away.

The members are still alive and involved in various musical endeavors.

Dan stays busy with Tonevendor, Clairecords and Ayler.

Estelle is now in Elephant Parade.

Joshua has played in a few bands since the Brittle Stars ended but presently he’s in Nervous Systems.

Steve is supposedly working on that The French Horns album that he promised to complete eons ago.

    If you're interested, the brittle stars are playing a reunion show on May 8th in Gainesville, Florida. There are no plans to play any other shows.
