There is more than one artist using this name:

(1) Multi-instrumentalist Brill is an internationally acclaimed artist who performs a live downtempo act featuring guitar, laptop, vocals, and synths. A typical Brill set is a sonic journey that begins with atmospheric guitar soundscapes and traverses across genres, eventually expanding into an emersion of beats drenched with psychedelia. His music explores textures and moments of ambient electronica, psytrance, psy-breaks and glitch-hop, all the while seamlessly integrating elements from his jazz and rock guitar background.

(2) Brill was also the name of a short-lived side project for Pseudo Echo frontman Brian Canham. After that band’s 1989 breakup, Canham moved on to writing advertising jingles and producing other bands, among them fellow Aussie act Chocolate Starfish. When Starfish also split after just a couple of albums, their drummer, Darren Danielson, teamed up with his ex-schoolmate Canham to form a new group called Brill. The duo made up the core of the outfit, although a handful of other Australian musicians were at times loosely attached: Zoran Romich (also ex-Starfish), Andy McIvor, Dave Stuart, Ben Carey (ex-Savage Garden tour band), Carly Byrne (ex-Frost). The band independently released one eponymous album and a couple of singles, even touring briefly, before the project quickly took a backseat to a budding Pseudo Echo redux. Canham resumed his lead singer role there while Danielson was recruited to fill in on drums.

(3) Portland area hip-hop / rap artist Brill.
