During the course of her career she employed numerous unusual musical styles, melting rock and roll, folk, free jazz, spoken word poetry and world rhythms. She collaborated with such celebrated musicians as Jean-Claude Vannier, Areski, Jacques Higelin, Sonic Youth, Stereolab, Noir Désir, Grace Jones, Gotan Project, Archie Shepp, Arno, Georges Moustaki and Art Ensemble Of Chicago.

'Brigitte & Areski created a unique artistic tandem - though everythin ( even the music ) was built a priori from Brigitte's poetry & words .. she was - is and will be u know The Persona behind their inspiration - behind their innovation and of course the key of their work so she is CONSIDERED to hold the main name of all of that ! respectfully... "

Sorry but for example "Je ne connais pas cet homme" is subtitled on the album as Fontaine 4 referring to the fact that this was Brigitte's 4th album. And besides I have listened/read loads of interwiews of both of them-) so thank you, but I know what I say.

Errr, no. On every album where Areski has a considerable influence, their credits are clearly shared on the album cover, and accepted on last.fm if you use this tag.

Ηer albums with Areski are considered as solo. cause she is the main driver of everything going on the process. all of them are edgy and genuinely experimental..If you wanna listen exclusively only her voice, the most experimental one (maybe one of the most..) is the one released in 1972. it was untitled. and therefore it's only her name... Brigitte Fontaine.. its a true masterpiece.. like an experimental film.. Try this one.. .

WHAT THE PARADISE is La Caravane featuring Grace Jones? OMG, I'm really FUCKIN' EXCITED listening this music over and over again. That's, absolutely, the best duet that Brigitte and Grace has ever made (and, maybe, ever do something like this). It's a masterpiece! The voices of Grace and Brigitte combine to form an absolutely stupendous combination! I LOVE duets with both, and I hope they stay together recording more tracks! ♥
