This is the kind of album that grows on you. It's really lo-fi and raw, but it has so much passion-especially in the lyrics. It's the epitome of Conor's youth. Each song represents a part of his life in some way or another. The lyrics are really heartfelt. I'm one of the biggest Bright Eyes fans ever. I have every single album, and this album is one of my favorites.

Lyrically it's still great...but oh man....his voice is just so raw and unrefined it's kind of grating.

most of the songs are pretty bad with a few exceptions: saturday as usual, falling out of love at this volume, the feel good revolution, and feb. 15

A few crappy songs, but most of this stuff is great. I love the gritty i have a 4-track in my basement sound.

Driving Fast Through a Big City at Night must be the worst Bright Eyes song ever... best on this album is The Feel Good Revolution
