It's dusk; you're on your porch. There's a storm in the distance. The wind is picking up, the clouds are darkening, and your wind chime is swaying. You reach up and stop its movement so you can better hear the storm. Is it coming closer? The roar in the distance is lower now; you seem to feel it in your bones. That mean the storm's getting closer--you're sure of it. It might be louder, too--you can't really remember how loud it was just a minute ago. And the clouds seem darker now. Is it just the sun going down further? The chime is moving again; it's swaying more violently. You're certain it's louder than before. The low rumbling in the distance is louder now. It has to be closer. You step out into the yard, the wind cool against your face, neck, and arms. Yes, it's closer now. You turn in the direction of the storm and listen. It's closer now. You hold your breath so you can hear more clearly. It's closer. Closer. Closer.

This song is fitting for a creepy fall-oh-so-close-to-Hallowe'en kind of day :P
