Brett is an Australian guitar player well known for his work with local pop icon John Farnham and the band Nelson. To guitar aficionados he is probably best known for his scintillating collaborations with US guitarist TJ Helmerich. Their two releases for the now-defunct Legato Records label, Quid Pro Quo and Exempt, are among the most sought-after albums of the genre.

Brett’s most recent recording projects include the Uncle Moe’s Space Ranch album featuring TJ Helmerich, Gary Willis, Dennis Chambers and Scott Kinsey, the Tapestry album which was released under the band name “Mojo” and features Ric Fierabracci on bass and Kofi Baker, son of the legendary Ginger Baker on drums, and most recently his debut solo album Big Sky with Ric returning for bass and production duties and Toss Panos behind the drums.

I also think he's way more versatile than Richard Simmons!

Brett is much more versatile than Andy Timmons imo. Brett is a monster player. His improv ability alone defines him as a true individual in the rock and fusion scene. He thinks of scales and such in intervals rather than strict modal shapes which most of us work through. He's up there with Guthrie Govan, Holdsworth, Shawn Lane, and alike. He's also underrated as hell, Pentathlon solo blows my mind

Undoing is the only song I've heard so far, and it's amazing. He's very much like Andy Timmons. Amazing.

Nah dude, he recorded all the guitar on Planet X, Derek's solo album, and on the newest planet X Album he recorded all the guitar parts, with the exception of Holdsworth playing on a few tracks. Also on Virgil's album; serious young insects; he played on a couple of tracks. Garsed Rules; anyone in Australia he is playing soon at Spenser's Live on the 21st of August; and will be playing for 5 weeks every Thursday after that date.
