Biography

Brenda Kahn has remained true to her original stylings as an advocate of women in rock, and has recently become much more active on that front founding her own corporation, womenrock.com , for the purpose of further empowering and enabling women artists in the music industry. All the while Brenda Kahn has continued to create music that is an incredibly catchy mixture of punk fueled folk music centered on a set of intelligent and edgy lyrics.

Once upon a time, I had a bunch of her songs on a mix CD a friend gave me...and then I lost it in a move. I miss Brenda Kahn and a lot of her songs (Goldfish..., Lately You) are hard to find!

Would love it if anything from 'Goldfish Don't Talk Back' was available for listening! My favorite album, my introduction to Brenda Kahn, still singing those tunes in my head.

If you don't know her music, give it a listen. She's one of the freshest, most original sounds to come out in a long time. I can't think of a single contemporary who can do what she does... Yes, she's that good.
