Written by Ben Burnley, edited by Dan Karneff, mixed and produced by David Dendeth at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, Tennesee … but is obviously NOT a country song!!
Also released in 2004 on So Cold (Track 2) by Hollywood Studios.

The singer is apparently a military leader and highly skilled combatant (not necessarily the Master Chief) giving a grim pep talk to his troops before a battle he’s expecting to lose.

This song is so over-produced/ultra-compressed, the hard part before the chorus starts a second time is lame and I swear the chorus was recorded once for both times it is used. There are surely many songs that loop the chorus that are good but in this case it really works against what should be an intense vibe. Godawful and tired-sounding. The worst piece in the Halo 2 soundtrack easily
