I could never miss it. Talking about touring and being on stage for countless days and nights away from from family.

Despite what everyone says, I have and always will think he says "I can never lose it." I used to have pretty bad anxiety problems, and I could sometimes find comfort in the repetition of little things - a simple phrase, breathing in and out, rocking back and forth - things like that. I feel like that's what this song is, with the repeating guitar melody and lyrics. It has an underlying feeling of despair, teetering on the edge of sanity. And it's as if that sentence - "I can never lose it" - is all he can hold on to, or else he really might just lose it. Because God knows I've felt like that before. In the end though, I think this song is whatever you want it to be. It's yours to interpret.

I think the whole point of making the lyrics barely distinguishable is so that each listener can have their own opinion of what's being said. no one's wrong or right. [4] Like Burial's Archangel.
