In all honesty eldutcho, I think they achieved exactly what they wanted. An art-rock album that would divide their fans and make them LESS famous compared to the effect TDAG had on their career.

I can't believe this song, I'm so disappointed in Brand New. I want it to be the Brand New I discovered during Deja, and the band that matured with The Devil and God are Raging Inside of Me. This isn't another step forward, its like they're a different band altogether with this album. Not impressed, guys. Hate on me if you will. I tried to listen and relisten to this album completely through, and I always stop after I get to this song. It's such a letdown. Not a complete failure, but a huge letdown /rant
