Bram & Meindert are now playing in a band formation under the name “NEON” (myspace.com/neonnl).
In the beginning of march 2008, Bram & Meindert launched their debut cd ‘Monsters Smile’. Their presentation in the center of Amsterdam in ‘De Heeren van Aemstel’ was supported by live videos and VJ footage.
Their use of the latest technology illustrates that they are not a regular semi-acoustic guitar duo. The combination of blues influences and close harmony voices, together with multi guitar loops and the use varied FX, creates a hybrid musical listing experience.
This Dutch duo (now NEON) with their roots in rural Netherlands, tasted a little bit of the conservatory live but decided to keep the music just for fun. None of the less their first gig was a big success and they won the Amsterdam Student Festival. Since then they had several performances on the radio and were able to record CD ‘Monsters Smile’.
