In our interview with Raphaelle Standel-Preston, she sheds light on the band’s underlying messages and reacts on unfounded stereotypes.

refused to give them a chance after they bored me to death at one of their shows. sounded like a complete ripoff of Animal Collective but i finally listened to their new album.. very impressed and sounds nothing like what i heard live.

Say what you will, (for what it's worth the album title reminds me of Yamantaka // Sonic Titan which makes me love it instantly), but Victoria and Together are two of the greatest songs released this year. Two of the best Braids songs. This is such a wildly impressive follow-up album, and it completely strays from what made everyone love them on their first album. Ace.

New album is good. I hate the title though. Is it supposed to be two EPs in one?

Blue Hawaii and Braids sound similar so does this mean they've created a new genre? Joking aside they do sound superficially similar apart from the rhythm & methodology. Either way I like Flourish // Perish. (Damn what an annoying title.)
