Inspired by the likes of Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Sr. , Paul Simon and contemporaries like Cursive, Ryan Adams and The Replacements, Brad Hoshaw helms this four-piece fusion of Americana, rock & roll, folk and country. Hoshaw, a troubadour with a mysterious presence and a genuine devotion to his craft, possesses an unpretentious, yet potent delivery.
“When I was younger, I was limited to writing exactly how I felt,” Hoshaw says. “Now, I’ve grown to explore the craft of songwriting. I try to put myself outside of my experiences and play with words. I want my music to be the kind that lives on inside the listener, long after it has left their ears.”
The Seven Deadlies’ all-star lineup is comprised of Omaha Nebraska’s elite musicians, Matt Whipkey (lead guitar), Craig Balderston (bass) and drummer J. Scott Gaeta. Each player contributes the necessary contradiction of reckless-abandon and professionalism. During Hoshaw’s 14 years as a solo artist, he released seven albums, gradually unveiling more of his personality and world perspective.
