1. How did you get into 29? Borknagar
It was a couple of years ago, when I first got into black/viking metal, and still it remains one of my favorites of this genre.
2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22? Epica
"Cry for the Moon", my actual favorite by them.
3. How many albums by 13 do you own? Nirvana
I have been a long-time fan... "Nevermind" was the first CD I bought with my own money, and the box-set "With the Lights Out" my 15th birthday-present I gave to me.
4. What is your favorite song by 15? Wintersun
"Sadness and Hate", definitely. It makes me nearly cry everytime I listen to it...
5. What is your favorite song by 5? Rhapsody of Fire
DAWN OF VICTORY!
6. Is there a song by 6 that makes you happy? Megadeth
"Symphony of Destruction", although it brings me now a lot of memories and a sense of loss for these past times.
7. What is your favorite song by 10? Death

Orthophony of Metal

orthophony - n. The art of correct articulation; voice training.
Given that many of the bands I like and talk about have names from other languages, I find myself often unsure how to pronounce them. Internet searches usually yield unclear instruction, or the ignorance of, "Just say it like it's spelled." Nothing is quite as good as hearing it for myself.
I decided to search band interviews for good examples, with some success. My findings are listed below. I've been compiling this list for awhile, as I've come across good sources. I try to get it directly from a band member's mouth, if possible. I figure that's the best example available.
I hope that this can be useful to other metal fans who care about this sort of thing… potentially a group effort. If you can contribute, post below. Include an approximate time reference if you're posting a video link. I suppose requests can be made here to. I already have a list of band names to do at the end.
