Book of Black Earth is a band formed with some members from Teen Cthulhu and who plays a mix of blackened death metal and crust. They put out a split EP with Fall of the Bastards and released their first full length, “the Feast” on 20 Buck Spin. Their second full length, “Horoskopus”, came out in October of 2008 on Prosthetic Records.

I was very surprised by this band - incredibly heavy, but actually very catchy. Thick and sludgy production, but clear enough to get the job done. Horoskopus is a very good album.
