In the seventies he formed the duo Bongo Herman & Bingy Bunny, they achieved success with songs like Chairman Of The Board, Know Fari, Feel Nice and Tribute To The President.

This is because Herman does not just play percussion instruments but he feels and become that playing of the instruments.
