About this album

Bounce is the eighth studio album by American hard rock band Bon Jovi, released on October 8, 2002 on Island Records. Produced by Luke Ebbin, Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora, the album was recorded at Sanctuary II Studio in New Jersey. Bounce was heavily influenced by the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, owing in part to Jon Bon Jovi’s proximity to New York.

The album sold over 160,000 copies in the first week in United States, and debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200, making it Bon Jovi’s highest debut in the band’s history at that time.

Maybe my favourite post-2000 Bon Jovi record. I love every single song of this one, such a shame they don't play songs of this album.

This is my favourite cover. So simple, yet so effective and beautiful. It has too many slow poppy songs, but make up for it with songs that are some of their most hard rocking ones ever. A solid work that actually functions best as a whole body of work instead of a few singles. It used to be the only Bon Jovi album with a song I didn't like (Joey), but now I can enjoy it.

Somehow the cover seems like a bland copy of the Dire Straits cover "Love over Gold".
