Biography

(1996 – present, 2007 – present)

Body Mass Index (BMI, aka Brain-Machine Interaction, Boy-Man Intercourse, MIB - Men In Black, IBM - Industrial Body Machine, In Bed With Madonna etc.) is a disinformation project that was forced onto stage resulting in a few live performances.
BMI has so far played mainly primitive (EBM) and and -Music. Incepted in 1996 and the band cannot formally disband or quit as long as all former members are alive.

Only one live recording was released officially on tape in 9 copies originally and under yet another fake moniker. In 2006 the tape was officially ripped and recut adding one track and released on-line only here at last.fm.

Totally some 20 songs have been performed live but apart from above mentioned, none were recorded.

The band is a project with growing numbers of former members, but so far J Pelvis Melvin has been involved i all performances. All former members have the same full rights to use the name freely and equally but each own the copyrights to the songs they compose themselves under creative commons non commercial licence free for copy (correct formal copyright notice will be added). This band structure is an experimental form important to the bands purpose and it is described to work like a sexually transmitted disease (STD).

I think this needs more distortion. Stick a guitar distortion pedal to the C64. :p

... and the delay wasn't in the original plan (like there was one) ... it was the kind live mixing guy (Hans Lindoff) that fixed that, and it improved the quality, definitely so. And I especially needed it, since that I (unlike Front 242) don't have a cool R23 kind of guy that jumps around and repeat everything I sing.

@fishermang: Now did I? Really? Doesn't sound like me to remove such a thing ... and @chotaire: I don't do quality (I seriously can't!) and this is a live recording.

lol, production quality and vocal sync couldn't be worse. thumbs up for using a real c64 tho. try to use a better mic, compress mic output, use delay only when it fits, master the tracks probably and then this would be pretty stylish actually. good luck with the next album!

Quality Schmuality! :P ... The next album's gonna have even worse quality! It's called Märchenbuch and might be released before summer, some year.

I think this stuff would kick truly lots of ass if recorded with better quality in vocals. Less distortion or so.
