  • Just "discovered" Bobby Bare by listening to Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash and some other folks of that era. Although it was not my time but rather my parent's, I'm really fascinated by his songs. Thumbs up! :-)

  • Most under-rated Country singer. He has made many firsts in country music. He is the first country artist to have a concept album ("Bird Named Yesterday" in 1967 then also "Lullaby, Legends and Lies" in 1973). He is the pioneer of "Folk Country" with his hits "500Miles Away from Home" and "4 Strong winds". Bare is credited for introducing Waylon Jennings to RCA. He is also one of the first to record from many well- known song writers. In fact, he is also the first "Outlaw" being the first to obtain control of his music. He won a Grammy Award for best Country & Western recording in 1964. He also has his own TV show called "Bobby Bare & Friends". I am very surprised that he still has not been indited into the "Country Music Hall Of fame". I hope, to be fair, many people will try to help correct this over sight.
  • Bobby Bare is the man.
