The seasons they are turning
And my sad heart is yearning
To hear again the songbird's sweet melodious tone
Won't you meet me out in the moonlight alone?

Orchids, Poppies, Black-eyed Susan : This song (and that line especially, with all them there flowers) makes me dream of a romantic escape with my blue eyed beloved to some deep forest in the month of June. I'd be all spread out on the forest's lush, soft, green floor. The night bugs would sing their serenades. Then I'd look around and realize that I was all alone and I'd wonder where my lover had gone. I'd call out his name, fretfully wondering if he was still near. Just then I'd suddenly feel a shower of wildflowers raining down upon me: blossoms of every hue and form; and I'd look up to see his face beaming down at me so lovingly. His cute little eyes would be all squinted in delight. His arms would be outstretched and his hands would be open after he'd just let all those fragrant wildflowers fall upon me. Then he'd lie down by my side, I'd entwine some flowers into his bird's nest hair, and we'd make amazing love. ~Ahh, dreams : never to come true. It's amazing what a song can do.

The air is thick and heavy all along the levy where the geese into the countryside have flown. Won’t you meet me out in the moonlight alone? Well, I’m preachin’ peace and harmony the blessings of tranquility, yet I know when the time is right to strike - I’ll take you cross the river dear. You’ve no need to linger here, I know the kinds of things you like.

Sounds like something Sinatra could have sang, if he had lived long enough.
