  • where the hell is Bob?
  • Awwwww Bobby baby...yeah, ya gotta dig this one. The sweetness and humidity of a summertime romance absolutely oozes and drips from this tune. You can always feel the heat of a midsummer night in this song; even listening to it in December or January can still make ya sweat. Real fine and mellow. And......I want him to press his song-sweetened lips to my nipples!!! ahhh!! (But I guess he never will). ...still.....He's MY baby! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!!
  • Well That MOCKINGBIRD's goNNA sail awayyyyyyyy... we're gonna forget it, That BIG FAT moon is gonna shine like a spoon but we're gonna let it! You won't regret it!!! kick your shoes off... do not fear, bring that bottle over here, I'll Be Your baby tonight
  • If there's a Dylan album that deserves to be overanalyed, it's JWH ;)
  • ah sadness the end to an incredible album and it ends on a high note, a song I'll never get bored with.
  • over-analyzation FTW
  • Bob tells us not to worry and accept the new so-called "country" Dylan here. In the "That mockingbird is gonna sail away" line the mockingbird is the earlier stream-of-consciousness Shakespeare in the alley, the wicked messenger whose mind multiplies the smallest matter, the drifter whose trip hasn't been a pleasant one, the joker from Watchtower. So much of John Wesley Harding is about the change in his writing and persona, really.
  • he a good mouth harp player
  • don't even know what you aRE talking about, Druid, Bob has shitloads of romantic songs throughout his career and about a handful of protest songs
