Wow, I skipped over this one until recently. Big mistake -- this is an awesome record with some of Dylan's best lyrics in many years.

I actually find Tin Angels to be one of the highlight. This for me is a highly listenable album and I have no problem with Dylans voice at any point, I think it draws you in and helps you really appreciate the top drawer story telling on offer here.

I still find Early Roman Kings / Tin Angel a little boring, but overall I have no problem calling this the best thing he's done since the '80s.

I must say Bob really surprised me with this one. I had my doubts, but it turned out to be a rocking cool album with a melodic sound and those violent brooding lyrics to go with it. Would never have thought he'd release what is arguably his darkest record at such a high age.
