The Campbell-Stokes Sunshine Recorder consists of a glass globe which focuses sunlight onto a card behind, leaving a record (in burn marks) of sunshine throughout the day.... that suitably describes this song
Just blasted this after not listening to it for several months... still getting more tense vibes from this than relaxing, I think its due to how warped the synths are + the relentless oddly cycling beat, amazing track and it can be pleasantly hypnotic at times, don't get me wrong... wouldn't call it 'dark', it definitely has a similar feel to a bright hot day in direct sunlight, hence the title.
I don't really get a dark feeling from this. To me it's alien, but strangely comforting. Reminds me of a science experiment I did once outdoors, collecting plants and exploring a forest in the intense heat.
very bright and visually impairing. like trying to regain ones eyesight after staring at the sun for too long... or those hypnotizing scenes caused when the chop at the waters surface refracts incoming sun light, creating a dancing frenzy of bouncing sun-rays under the water. much of the same vibe as mukhinabaht, i find, but much more psychedelic and all-encompassing; the epic conclusion... too good.
