    blackbook668: It's actually a spin on a sample they used in their limited release album Boc Maxima. The track is basically the same but features the words "an adult film" instead of "Boards of Canada". Presumably they couldn't clear the porn sample for Music Has the Right to Children, or they just wanted to do this variation for their own amusement.

    This track left me confused. Why would a band like BoC talk of censure? They're not really a band that would be tried in a court case so I'm wondering why they have such a message.

    The atmosphere of stuff like this is astounding. This song sounds like a period of time from before I was born, maybe the 70s, or a 70s depiction of what "the future" will be like. It's almost uncomfortable to listen to, but so fascinating that you have to get through it, because it tells you something about where you come from or what your "essence" is. Imagery that comes to mind includes old public school buildings and construction sites in the desert with lots of shiny metal and sand.
