It always make me think about freediving devices like this one: http://daanverhoeven.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/IMG_3608-nick-cnf-down.jpg , going down at the deepest point on earth...

Sensation is like standing alone inside some huge shadowy air chamber... gigantic fan high above the head speeding up then slowing down...and each time the wind wails as it rushes thru air vents

Sounds like a last train station before "diving" into hell.

If you liked this and haven't heard Slow Water by Brian Eno then check that out, they always remind me of each other for some reason.

"A work of art stands on its own" Ugh, no, I hate all that annoying Death of the Author bullshit. Works of art are created by *humans*, with lives and biographies and ideas, and intentions that they go into work with. It makes no sense to divorce that from the work of art itself, at all. To try to analyse art without taking into account the authors strikes me as self-centred to say the least.

mitsario: I see your point, but honestly it's all open to interpretation. I find the album pretty calming.

I get the strange image of a sea of fire and a helicopter rising and falling and then just plunging into the waters

Scary Track. It reminds me of somebody about to commit suicide, looking at pictures of loved ones before they die, and the person jumps and the piano fades away. Quite beautiful.
