ROFL, I forgot about the pathetic tiddly-widdly guitar solo.

Criminally infectious. And to see the Oasis vs Blur thing still going on today just shows how reactionary and narrow-minded people are. Just enjoy the damn song.

Yeah, but Oasis sounded better. Whilst Blur will always win from an intellectual point of view. [2] But I prefer Pulp over both, Country House is a great song though.

always preferred oasis over blur but in this battle for no:1 with blur - country house and oasis - roll with it, i do believe that blur rightfully won [2] lol

Party: I'd guess you're a Beatles over Stones guy/girl. Matter of taste I suppose. Mods v. Rockers. I love both bands. Blur maybe a bit more. But maybe because I come to them, from the US, without any real expectation, while Oasis were massively pimped at a time when I was working hard to ignore what record companies wanted me to listen to.

Maxl: You're giving Oasis WAY too much credit! Oasis never had any of Blur's creative restlenessness, musical intelligence, or not-being-drunken-yobs-ery.
