    I love how the negative reviews at the time tore Damon a new one for "daring" to use his break-up as inspiration for his songs. Oh no! A songwriter writing about things! They damned him for his character songs, they damned him for his personal songs. They ultimately had to accept that they had no clue and that Damon was a songwriting genius all along. This is fantastic.
