Blue Sinatra is a smooth, cool blend of many kindred styles — funk, rock, reggae, hip-hop, disco and everything that grooves. Their diverse lineup is reminiscent of bands like Sly and the Family Stone and Prince and the Revolution, but their sound, though rooted in those groups, is fresh and original. Their mantra: great songs, deep grooves and the desire to inspire the crowds to get down.
Blue Sinatra’s live show has developed a reputation for always being unpredictable and has gained fans from all over Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware and Maryland. They’ve shared the stage with some of the best East Coast and international acts and have played at many of the best venues in Philadelphia — including the TLA, Grape Street, The Troc, and World Café Live. They just finished a tour of colleges all over the Mid-Atlantic region, from New York to Virginia and all stops in between and gained hundreds of new fans. This past April, they played with the Gym Class Heroes, whose song, “Cupid’schoke Hold”, has been heard almost everywhere. On June 5th, Blue Sinatra joined several other philadelphia acts in a tribute to The Beatles, Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band on its 40th anniversary. Their funky renditions of “Lucy in the Sky” and “Getting Better” were huge hits at the sold out show. The recording of the tribute played to thousands on WXPN’s local show on Tues, June 19th and their twenty-minute set of original material was broadcast to a huge listening audience on July 3rd.
