About this album

Blukomet (2008) Released: 1 Jan 2008 9 tracks (31:03)
Dekade II is a collection of recordings by BluKomet from 1998 to 2008.

BluKomet is Stan Tangeman and Scott Fujawa, with occasional help from Carlos Forster and John Blaylock.

Tangeman and Fujawa came from different suburbs of Dayton, Ohio, moving to California in the 1980s. They met in college in San Luis Obispo, Ca in 1990, eventually moving to San Francisco and forming BluKomet in 1998. Pedal steel surf and hawaiian instrumental songs became their strong point after dabbling in several genres on their 2000 BetaPunks Release.

Influences include Link Wray, Early Surf Music, The Minutemen, & and the likes of Speedy West and Friends of Dean Martinez.

Tangeman can be heard playing pedal steel on Beulah and Casiotone for the Painfully Alone songs, and Fujawa played drums on the For Stars self-titled first album.
