I believe Island of Lost Souls was their last shot at maintaining their popularity and it completely flunked as a single... If my memory serves me right, that's what made them finally go bankrupt to the point that the band had only like a 100 dollars in their pocket. Shame, because in my opinion their music just wasn't as good after the reunion.

Blondie was largely the result of coke and heroin abuse, but most American punk from the 70s was this. Except maybe Talking Heads and Devo who were nerds with nothing better to do

I could be wrong, but wasn't this song a result of an insane cocaine binge? They didn't even know what they were doing. That's why the video is so silly. But it's, of course, still REALLY charming.

"track not played often enough" I agree. " That makes three of us. Which is kinda a good thing, since I feel many great songs are ruined by being overplayed too much on mainstream radio stations.
