Bob Dylan is more folky, not bluesy.

Dylan didn't get me into roots music, that's for sure. blame for that falls on Hank Williams and Lead Belly.

Bob Dylan is amazing, even his later stuff. Just my opinion.

Early Dylan was spectacular and unique. His later stuff is tired old and forgettable. These guys need to know when their Muse has abandoned them.

i was listen to early folk-blues way before i listened to bob dylan.bob dylan was listening to early folk-blues way before he found his artistic self.its all an important influence as far as i can see.

I suppose, Jake, that many people only came to Hank, Blind Willie, Woody and the others by listening to Dylan. He seems to be a great guide to the heritage of American music.
