Since 2002, Blind Robbery has truly been the gadfly of the Long Island music scene, offering a constant and caustic alternative to an otherwise endless sea of hackneyed cover bands and plastic indie scenesters with their unique brand of guttural, high-voltage groove.

Blind Robbery rocks hard with elements of funk, blues and jam as is evident on their 2005 debut “Ante Up”. Dan Brown of Good Times Magazine noted: “Ante Up shines a light on the great things Blind Robbery has to offer, while whetting our appetites for what we can expect from the band in the future.”

The band has been featured on Homegrown on 102.3 WBAB as well as being the station’s featured artist of the day during the Northeast Blackout of 2003. Blind Robbery is in rotation on WUSB 90.1 (Stony Brook University) and has been played on WSJU (St. John’s University). In 2007 Blind Robbery were the winners of the Holbrook Battle of the Bands competition.

Whether it’s the local bar, Penn State University or the Jones Beach Bandshell, Blind Robbery is known across the Island for its raucous live performances. The versatility of Blind Robbery allows them to perform with rock, blues, r&b, punk and metal bands seamlessly. Their energy creates a whirlwind of confusion, whiplash, screaming and gratification that leave their fans with the taste for more.

Blind Robbery unleashed their second album “Crooked Numbers” in December 2009. It is currently available on itunes.

Damn, it’s been a long time

22 Feb 2011 | from blindrobberyband.blogspot.com/

Yup, it’s been too long. It’s been a running joke on here that we pay less attention to this blog than the backlog of alimony payments Craig must have for all the baby-making incidents he’s had throughout the years but it’s time we got caught up. …
