Reach out and take for me, fruit of the poison tree
Give me your body and your soul
My youth is fading fast, years melt into the past
This mortal life will take its toll

Yeah, AIC and stuff, but why wouldn't they have noticed the whole Seattle scene back in 1992, while recording Dehumanizer ? a mystery to me.

Yea it sounds like AiC, but that 2:35 & outro riff is pure Sabbath.

Obviously AIC met through their love of Black Sabbath but it still sounds like them :P

Sounds like Sabbath to me. One of the few tracks that do on this album. Great song...

what an awesome song! Such a strong Alice in Chain's vibe with the dark harmony vocals in the verses

Alice In Chains (and Soundgarden) was closer musically to Black Sabbath than to Nirvana due to their heavy riffing and slow paced songs. Virtual Death is the song on this album who is closest to the original Black Sabbath sound...still it sounds like it was cut from an Alice In Chains album. The irony....

Sounds like Alice in Chains. So... It's better than this plastic sound of "Seventh Star" and "Eternal Idol".
